Summer Camp at Seneca Hills
Camp is an awesome pace to get away from everything and focus on God for a week. We attend Seneca Hills in Franklin, PA every summer. Dates for Junior Camp and Junior High Camp will be posted when they are released by the camp. For more info on Seneca Hills, click the picture to the left.
All STARS Weekends
For those that can't afford camp, are unavailable over the summer, or have kids who are not ready to spend the night away from home, we offer weekend retreats 1-2 times per year.
These weekends are held at the church & kids return home to sleep each night.
The cost usually ranges from $25 - $50 depending on the activities chosen for each weekend.
We believe that kids are the church of today! We offer many different ways for kids to reach out and help others. Opportunities vary depending on leadership and time of year. In the past, we have offered:
Greeters Choir Tech Crew
Games Leaders Praise Team Drama Team
We also offer kids the opportunity to serve in the following ministries:
East Side Bread Basket
Operation Christmas Child
Hugs & Kisses Hospital Ministry
Operation Christmas Child
Operation Christmas Child is a ministry of Samaritan's Purse. They send millions of Christmas packages all over the world each year. Our church acts as a collection center for this nation-wide ministry. Over 25,000 boxes pass through the doors during the second full week in November.
Kids can be involved in OCC in the following ways:
- pack boxes on their own and bring them to the church
- attend the annual packing party held on Wednesday of the second full week of November
- work at the collection center
- encourage classmates, friends, and neighbors to pack boxes
- give towards OCC through the offering on Sundays
As part of our Breakout program, kids participate in a New York City trip after completing their fourth year of discipleship. During this week (held in early July), the kids serve in soup kitchens, deliver Meals on Heels, pass out Bibles in Times Square, and experience the multi-cultural atmosphere of the greatest city on Earth!
Most churches invite the community to come and join them for an Easter Egg Hunt. At New Life, we're doing something different. We’re taking the Easter Egg Hunt to the community!
The idea is simple:
1. Think of some families with kids that you are eggs-cited to invite to New Life.
2. Purchase a dozen plastic eggs for each family.
3. Fill 11 of the eggs with candy. Leave one empty!
4. Hide the eggs in their yard on the evening of Friday, April 3.
5. Put a pre-printed note that New Life will provide somewhere they will find it: front door,
windshield, garage door, etc.
Optional: take a picture of you hiding the eggs and post it on social media with the hashtags: #mynlbc #egging
Why fill only 11 eggs? Because the empty egg is a reminder that Jesus’ tomb is empty!
It’s that simple. Have a great time blessing families in your neighborhood while reminding them of the resurrection story and inviting them to attend New Life on Easter.
We exist to bring children into age appropriate WORSHIP where they can
BELONG to the family of God, GROW in their relationship with Christ,
learn to SERVE, and then go SHARE Christ in the world
